As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual to start immediately or by agreement as
Application Manager SharePoint, 80-100%
In the Digital Workplace Team, you will jointly shape the central applications and solutions of ZHdK’s digital workplace and continuously develop them further. Your focus is on SharePoint Online and the associated Microsoft 365 services. You will connect the requirements of the departments with information architecture, governance, application operation and technical implementation, contributing to sustainable, comprehensible and compliant solutions.
Your tasks
- Strategy and Governance: You develop practical frameworks for SharePoint and Microsoft 365. In document management, you design standards for storage structures, metadata, permissions and lifecycle, and further develop information architecture, navigation and search. You coordinate the roadmap and further development with the responsible bodies.
- Operation and Service Management: Together with the team, you ensure the stable operation of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Search, Viva Connections and other Microsoft 365 applications. You keep an eye on service quality and availability and accompany incidents, updates and releases.
- Permission and Security Management: You further develop access and role models and support their regular review. Together with data protection and information security, you create secure and practical frameworks for external sharing and guest access.
- User Support and Further Development: You capture the needs of the departments and develop suitable solutions from them. In addition, you coordinate application support and assist key users, power users and site owners with standards, templates and documentation.
- Solution Design, Integrations and Projects: You design solutions that connect SharePoint and Microsoft 365 with other applications and information sources. You implement standard and low-code functions yourself if necessary; you coordinate more complex developments with internal and external partners.
- Interfaces and Reporting: You coordinate collaboration between departments, business analysis, IT and external service providers. With focused reporting on usage, service quality, costs and risks, you create a reliable basis for decision-making.
Your profile
- Education and Professional Experience: You have higher education or further training in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field. Alternatively, you bring an equivalent qualification through several years of professional experience in application management.
- Expertise in the Microsoft 365 Environment: You have several years of experience with SharePoint Online from both a professional and operational perspective, ideally complemented by knowledge in document management. A relevant Microsoft certification or willingness to obtain one completes your profile.
- Analytical and Conceptual Skills: You quickly grasp complex issues, structure different needs and recognise relevant dependencies. From this, you develop comprehensible and sustainably operable solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: You communicate confidently in German and well in English and convey complex contexts appropriately for the audience. You work reliably and solution-oriented with different stakeholders.
- Working Style and Attitude: You work independently, structured, carefully and service-oriented and bring a high sense of responsibility. You handle sensitive information reliably and in compliance with data protection and approach changes openly.
Furthermore, we welcome
- SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Knowledge of SPFx is an advantage, especially for custom web parts, extensions and M365 integrations.
- Engineering Background: Experience in software, web, integration or solution engineering is an advantage. It helps you to assess technical contexts thoroughly and to collaborate effectively with engineering and external partners on in-house developments, interfaces, deployment and application lifecycle management. However, an engineering background is not a prerequisite for this role.
- Additional Qualifications: Professional certifications or further training in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, business analysis or requirements engineering are welcome.
