Software Engineer / Architect (80-100%)

J. SCHNEEBERGER Maschinen AG develops and produces state-of-the-art CNC grinding machines with integrated robotics for the manufacture and regrinding of cutting tools and the production of various precision parts. Our self-developed CAD/CAM software is a core component of Schneeberger grinding technology. It is offered on industrial PCs with the grinding machines and for installation on workstation computers.

The internationally active family business is represented in all major markets with its own sales and service branches or qualified partners. Customers include companies from tool manufacturing, the automotive industry and its suppliers, general mechanical engineering, the aerospace industry, energy technology, and contract manufacturing.

What you can help drive with us:

  • Redesign, modernisation, and further development of subsystems for process management, simulation, communication with robots and CNC control, and tool management
  • Definition and implementation of an open, future-oriented overall architecture

What you can expect from us:

  • A great technical challenge where you can fully apply your knowledge in C++, application design and system architecture, computer graphics, multitasking, and data modelling
  • A fascinating technical environment (visualisation, modelling, simulation, and process planning in 3D)

  • Contemporary tool landscape (C++, Visual Studio, Git(lab), Jira, M365, Angular)

What we wish from you:

  • Completed studies in (technical) computer science or a related discipline
  • Deep knowledge of C++
  • Practical experience in application design and in understanding and developing complex technical software products
  • Enjoyment of clear, clean, contemporary software architecture
  • Prior knowledge of the CNC field is a plus but not a requirement
