Purpose of the role:
As Business Development Manager HPE Networking you are responsible for the strategic expansion of the manufacturer business in Switzerland. You act as the central interface between Ingram Micro, HPE Networking and our reseller partners and actively drive market development as well as revenue growth.
Your challenge:
Active acquisition of new customers and business potentials through targeted market cultivation, structured telephone acquisition and sales campaigns (New Logos)
Development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for the HPE Networking portfolio (formerly HPE Aruba Networking & Juniper Networks)
Active expansion of business with existing partners as well as acquisition of new resellers and system integrators
Identification and development of new business potentials in the areas of enterprise networking, campus, datacentre and security
Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with manufacturers, partners and relevant decision-makers
Supporting partners in positioning, marketing and selling HPE Networking solutions
Developing joint business plans with manufacturers and partners to achieve growth targets
Responsibility for revenue, profitability and growth targets within the manufacturer portfolio
Close collaboration with sales, presales, marketing and vendor management for successful implementation of customer and partner projects
Analysis of market, competition and technology trends to identify new business opportunities
Planning and conducting partner visits, business reviews, training sessions, webinars and events
Ensuring high partner satisfaction as well as continuous development of the partner landscape
Building and maintaining a robust opportunity-pipeline
Representation of Ingram Micro and HPE Networking at trade fairs, manufacturer events and industry events
Continuous training and certification in the manufacturer environment
Support with tenders, complex sales projects and strategic customer initiatives
Active shaping of the growth strategy for the HPE Networking business in Switzerland
Your profile:
Completed commercial, technical or business administration training or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience (at least 3-5 years) in IT sales, business development or channel sales
Experience in building and developing partner networks
Knowledge of the Swiss IT channel market as well as relevant manufacturer and reseller structures
Experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure or related technologies is an advantage
Ideally experience with HPE Aruba Networking, Juniper Networks, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Extreme Networks or comparable manufacturers
Proven success in business development and partner building
Strong hunter mentality and enjoyment in developing new business opportunities
Understanding of channel models, distribution business and manufacturer strategies
Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for partners and customers
Analytical and strategic thinking
Confident handling of CRM systems as well as MS Office
