• Category strategies: Development and implementation of concepts to optimise costs, quality, and availability within the responsible categories
• Supplier management: Identification, selection, and qualification of new suppliers
• Regular evaluation of supplier performance
• Building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships
• Negotiation & contract management: Conclusion of complex contracts as well as price and condition negotiations
• Market analysis: Continuous monitoring of procurement markets and trends to identify risks early and spot innovations
• Risk management: Ensuring supply security through risk minimisation strategies. Escalation level in case of disruptions
• Interface work: Close collaboration with the departments of engineering, product development, legal services, and costing

• Completed studies (industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration)
• Several years of professional experience in industrial purchasing, ideally with a strategic focus
• Knowledge in negotiation, contract law, supplier development, and common purchasing methods
• Fluent in German and English for negotiations
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
