About the job
MZ Dienstleistungs AG has been an established and leading personnel service provider for the transport industry and public transport in the German-speaking part of Switzerland since 2007. Our specialisation in truck and bus drivers enables us to offer our employees varied assignments, long-term prospects, and personal support. Our range of services is complemented by nationwide express and freight transport as well as consulting services in the fields of transport and logistics.
Our company is evolving – and so is our HR. It is not only about reliably continuing proven practices but also about further developing structures and processes and tackling new topics.
Do you enjoy leading people, have a keen sense for recruiting, and want to continue working operationally in HR yourself? Then a versatile leadership role with plenty of scope for creativity awaits you with us.
Our HR is close to the business, close to the employees, and very practically oriented. As an HR Team Leader, you will lead and develop our HR team, actively participate in day-to-day operations, and shape the further development of our HR.
Your tasks
Leadership, recruiting, and further development form the focus of your role.
- You lead our three-person HR team and support your two employees in their professional and personal development.
- You take an active role in recruitment yourself and, together with those responsible, ensure that we attract the right employees.
- You are committed to retaining employees long-term and further develop our support and guidance.
- You work operationally in HR and independently handle more complex personnel law and personnel matters.
- You advise our managers on personnel-related issues and support them in implementing personnel measures.
- You further develop HR processes, structures, and tools and pragmatically implement improvements.
- You revise and develop regulations, contracts, and other HR fundamentals.
- Together with the team, you ensure reliable HR administration and further develop processes around payroll and personnel administration.
- You accompany employees from abroad when starting in Switzerland and support them with administrative questions as well as their integration into our company and their new environment.
- You independently tackle projects and new topics and bring them to implementation.
- You work closely with management and our leaders and report directly to the managing director.
Your profile
You know operational HR from your own experience and understand what it means to take responsibility for employees, a team, and functioning HR processes.
We expect:
- a solid HR education, ideally as an HR specialist with a federal certificate or a comparable qualification
- several years of practical professional experience in HR
- proven leadership experience and enjoyment in developing employees
- sound knowledge of relevant HR topics such as labour law, social insurance, payroll, and HR processes
- extensive experience and enthusiasm for recruiting
- willingness not only to lead but also to work operationally yourself and support managers with personnel-related issues
- very good German language skills
- confident handling of digital HR systems; knowledge of Abacus is an advantage
What sets you apart
You are a leader who takes responsibility while remaining part of the team. You can bring people along, make clear decisions, and get stuck in where needed. You enjoy working in an environment where not every process is prescribed down to the last detail, recognise the need for action, and develop pragmatic solutions that you implement together with the team.
You
- lead clearly, appreciatively, and practically
- think entrepreneurially and act independently
- enjoy questioning and further developing existing practices
- are pragmatic and solution-oriented
- can set priorities and keep an overview even in busy phases
- are flexible and maintain an overview even in busy phases. In urgent personnel situations, you are willing to provide support outside usual working hours after consultation
- communicate directly, openly, and reliably
We are not looking for someone who only wants to lead HR conceptually. You feel comfortable where leadership, day-to-day business, and further development come together.
What to expect
You can expect a versatile HR leadership role with a lot of personal responsibility and scope for design. Much is already in place – at the same time, there are topics and structures that you can further develop and help shape. In addition, there are short decision-making paths, a family-like working environment, and a team where collaboration, flexibility, and mutual support are important.
You work closely with management and gain insight into entrepreneurial issues and decisions. With appropriate professional and personal development, there is the prospect of taking on additional responsibility at management level in the future.
Have we piqued your interest? Then we look forward to your application.
