Swissgrid is responsible, within the framework of its ownership responsibilities, for the Swiss transmission grid, for the reliable and economical operation of the Swiss high-voltage network. To ensure the quality and safety of electricity supply, the responsibility is focused on the operation, maintenance, renewal, and expansion of electrical installations in the transmission network.

Maintenance is divided into three regions. For the Western region at the Prilly location, we are looking for a

Ensuring electricity in Switzerland

In this responsible role, you will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Processing and prioritising the visual inspection reports recorded by our service providers
• Creating vegetation reports from your own visual inspections of routes, maintaining the status of processed reports in SAP/GIS, assessing Lidar data, and developing resulting measures
• Preparing and supporting tenders for procurements in the area of wood near power lines as well as organising logging operations with contact to landowners and authorities
• Controlling and checking measures during execution and responsibility for occupational safety in coordination with the plant managers
• Creating and updating acceptance documentation as well as monitoring the budget
• Assisting in the creation of standard documentation in the area of clearing and further developing the clearing process
• Supporting the planning and creation of small structures as well as planning and supporting the control of neophytes

For this exciting role, we are looking for an upbeat, resilient personality with team spirit and good physical condition. You are proactive and responsible and have a systematic working style, organisational flair, and negotiation skills. In addition, you bring the following:

• Completed training as a forest worker with additional training as a certified Forester HF or equivalent further education with several years of professional experience
• Willingness to further educate in the electrotechnical field and experience in safety forestry near high-voltage lines
• Experience in collaboration with district foresters and authorities as well as in leading third parties
• Experience in preparing tender documents, work documents, and safety arrangements
• Good IT skills (MS products, GIS, SAP, PLS CADD)
• Driving licence category B
• German or French at native speaker level, business fluent in the other language
