Role:

Security is not created by tools alone. Clear processes and clean technology are needed. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you bear the technical security responsibility for a hybrid IT infrastructure consisting of on-premises systems and cloud. You actively shape vulnerability management, hardening, and incident response and contribute your own ideas. Between engineering, projects, and operations, you have a real influence on the security level.

Responsibilities:

• You build and operate a structured vulnerability management system. This includes scans, assessment, prioritisation, and tracking of measures.

• In addition, you operate security systems such as SIEM, XDR, and PAM, maintain their configuration, and coordinate external service providers.

• You plan hardening measures for servers and clients, implement them, and continuously develop them further.

• In the event of security incidents, you participate in incident response and identify technical optimisation potentials.

• Furthermore, you translate regulatory and normative information security requirements into technical solutions.

• Moreover, you lead security projects or collaborate in them and support the establishment of virtualisation and cloud services.

Qualifications:

• A degree in computer science or a related field forms your basis, complemented by training or practical experience in the security environment.

• You bring experience in security and system engineering, as well as in cloud environments and project work.

• You are familiar with vSphere, Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure, and Microsoft Defender.

• In addition, you have solid know-how in Windows Server and services such as Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and GPO.

• You work in a structured, independent, and customer-oriented manner, show initiative, and keep a cool head even under pressure.
