The Geneva Tumor Registry of the Department of Health and Community Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine aims to collect cancer pathology data for surveillance and research purposes in close collaboration with all cantonal structures (public or private) that may treat cancer patients.
In this context, the Geneva Tumor Registry is opening a position for:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR or ASSISTANT with Conditional Pre-Tenure in Cancer Epidemiology and Co-Director of the Geneva Tumor Registry at the Department of Health and Community Medicine
Description
- Establish and lead a competitive research program in cancer epidemiology supported by external funding
- Co-lead and participate in the operational activities of the Geneva Tumor Registry and lead a research team
- Conduct methodological research on the collection, management, and analysis of data from the Geneva Tumor Registry
- Assume teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels within the Faculty of Medicine, particularly in the field of cancer epidemiology
Requirements
- MD, PhD, or MD-PhD
- Ability to develop a competitive research line focused on cancer epidemiology with an emphasis on global research
- Recipient of competitive research funding and author of publications in high-level peer-reviewed international journals
- Proven expertise in cancer registries
- Good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system
- Ability to collaborate with other Swiss and international university centers and other cantonal registries
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French
