As an Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for managing and coordinating all sales activities in your area. Your focus is on achieving the company’s objectives in line with overarching guidelines. At the same time, you develop your sales team further to achieve sustainable growth together.
YOUR TASKS
- Operational and situational leadership as well as coaching of the sales team
- Deriving and defining individual goals for your team based on overarching company objectives
- Supporting the Regional Sales Manager in creating the annual business and budget plan based on the sales and business strategy
- Preparing offers and contracts for collaboration with major customers
- Negotiating and concluding contracts with larger customers
- Reviewing and managing the contracts of field sales consultants in the area
- Creating and analysing reports from the sales information system
- Collecting, analysing and reporting customer and market data to identify trends early
- Monitoring market and customer developments, forwarding relevant information and implementing appropriate measures
- Ensuring efficient and effective information flow between internal departments and external partners
- Building, maintaining and strengthening key customer contacts
- Planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling the implementation of the team’s sales activities in accordance with company objectives and applicable guidelines
- Planning and executing projects in the region
- Responsibility for various material budgets
- Ensuring correct payment of contractual benefits and controlling payments
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- You have completed vocational training or a university degree.
- You have several years of experience in sales, ideally in field sales, key account management or a comparable role.
- You bring leadership experience, ideally in leading sales teams or field sales staff.
- You are proactive, communicative and confident and enjoy taking responsibility.
- You have an analytical and structured way of thinking as well as a strong sales and results orientation.
- You bring customer and team orientation, empathy and networking skills.
- You are motivated to develop employees and to be successful together with your team.
- You hold a valid driving licence and have very good German and English skills.
