Acting on behalf of the University Hospitals of the cantons of Vaud and Geneva, the biomedical purchasing and engineering center (CAIB) ensures the supply of medical, general, and equipment goods under the best market conditions.
Job Description
As a buyer, you centralize the various needs arising from the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) and carry out the appropriate acquisition processes in compliance with public procurement rules.
In collaboration with the buyers and purchasing managers of the CAIB, you are responsible for the development and deployment of the purchasing strategy for the category.
You are responsible for managing and controlling the supplier panel of your category. In this capacity, you conduct calls for tenders, collaborating with your internal clients, and intervene from the definition of the need to the contracting and monitoring of the supplier relationship development.
You participate in animating the CAIB affiliates network by sharing your purchasing expertise and your knowledge of market trends.
Qualifications
You hold a higher education degree such as a Master HES or equivalent, preferably with a recognized Master in purchasing (KEDGE, DESMA, etc.).
You have at least 3 years of confirmed experience in purchasing with initial confirmed experience in purchasing and ideally in laboratories.
You have perfect command of the French language (read, spoken, and written) and very good knowledge of English (level C1).
An excellent mastery and knowledge of computer tools are also required.
