SALES CLERK - Metal Construction Sector - 100% (all genders)

We are a leading and successful trading company in the stainless steel industry, based near Zurich Paradeplatz, employing around 150 staff and representing renowned stainless steel mills in Switzerland.

To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a team-oriented, motivated individual with a passion for sales - ideally in the stainless steel or metal industry environment. You will competently advise our customers in the field of industrial metals with a focus on stainless steel. If reliability, efficiency and resilience are among your strengths, then you are exactly right with us!

What tasks await you?

• Active support and advice for customers in the stainless steel sector
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Competent, solution-oriented processing of customer orders
• Creating, tracking and following up on offers
• Continuous monitoring of various delivery dates
• Prompt handling of complaints & returns
• Active collaboration with the field service
• Identifying further market potential and acquiring new customers
• Regular exchange of market and product information with the responsible product manager
• Independent purchasing of supplementary purchases from drop shipments

What do you bring to this position?

• Technical basic training or commercial basic training with technical understanding in industrial metals with a focus on stainless steel
• Several years of professional experience in trade & the metal industry
• High affinity for IT systems (e.g. MS Dynamics 365, CRM or similar), good MS Office skills; Excel mandatory
• Very good German skills; French or Italian an advantage
• Independent, precise and prompt working style, combined with teamwork and enjoyment in dealing with people
