Context & Mission
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical aid organization founded in 1971 by doctors and journalists. Whether war wounded in the Gaza Strip, displaced persons in Sudan, or tuberculosis patients in Southeast Asia: MSF provides aid in over 70 countries, especially in places where people in need have no access to adequate healthcare or are denied it.
Today, MSF is a global movement consisting of a total of 26 country sections and several operational centers – including MSF Switzerland – which ensure direct management of projects. In 2025, MSF Switzerland employed around 400 staff in Zurich and Geneva.
Insights
