Senior Process Engineer

About the job

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer. In this role, you will take technical responsibility for the planning, construction, as well as the commissioning and qualification of biopharmaceutical large-scale plants. With your profound expertise, you will lead demanding projects to success and develop innovative process solutions for our international clients.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Responsible for the system engineering of the plants and ensuring plant functionality
• Process engineering configuration of the plants according to customer requirements, taking into account standards and company guidelines
• Preparation of process calculations regarding mass flows, heat transfer & safety devices
• Specification of components, instruments and apparatus
• Creation of functional specifications for plant control for operations, control loops and alarms
• Preparation of plant-related risk analyses according to the Machinery Directive and CE requirements
• Handling design reviews and test protocols to ensure all project and customer requirements
• Participation in project meetings with our customers
• Execution of commissioning and acceptance tests in-house as well as partly on-site at the customer
• Updating, checking and managing engineering documents
• Preparation, execution and monitoring of acceptance tests to fulfil CE conformity regarding the Pressure Equipment Directive

Your profile:

• University degree (FH) or equivalent qualifications in the field of technology or engineering (process engineering, mechanical engineering, biotechnology, food technology, chemistry)
• Profound knowledge in process engineering and plant engineering
• Knowledge in hygienic design and application of ASME BPE is an advantage
• 7-10 years of experience as a process engineer in plant construction
• Open and communicative personality with solution-oriented thinking and acting
• Willingness to travel worldwide (from a few days up to several weeks)
