Role:

You are at home where switching, routing, and firewalls interact. As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you design secure network architectures for customer environments and implement them technically cleanly. The focus is on Fortinet and HPE Aruba, but broader infrastructure projects also belong to your field of play. Here you shape your projects with great creative freedom and bear real responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• You independently lead complex IT projects and accompany them from the idea to handover

• You design, implement, and continuously improve network and security solutions for customer environments

• Additionally, you are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and support of customer networks

• You participate in comprehensive infrastructure projects and contribute new solution approaches

• Furthermore, you actively share your expertise within the team and build on the expertise of others

• You also follow new developments in network and security and deliberately expand your expertise

Qualifications:

• You have completed an IT education and have practical experience or are currently completing a part-time IT degree

• You master routing, switching, and WLAN confidently, proven by a CCNP or CCNA certification or an equivalent qualification

• You work confidently with Aruba components and configure FortiGate firewalls routinely; current manufacturer certificates are a plus

• Furthermore, you are interested in technical IT security and are familiar with reverse and forward proxies, Network Access Control (NAC), RADIUS, and Public Key Infrastructure

• Virtualisation as well as Windows server and client environments are familiar to you, and you recognise dependencies between the systems

• Additionally, you present yourself openly and credibly to customers, organise yourself in a structured manner, and remain solution-oriented and resilient even under pressure
