Then we have the right position for you: A professorship focusing on the law of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, with special consideration of the interdisciplinary interfaces of law, technology, and society.
Department: School of Management and Law
Start date: August 1, 2026, or by arrangement (application deadline: March 1, 2026)
Specialized in the "Law of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence," you are responsible for the acquisition, implementation, and management of third-party funded research projects. In this area and in interface fields (such as IT law, data/privacy law, and intellectual property law), you are also responsible for teaching in bachelor/master programs and involved in continuing education courses. Furthermore, you coordinate a small dedicated team and support the management in the strategic positioning of the institute.
We are looking for a convincing personality with:
- a legal university degree, doctorate, and preferably a lawyer's license;
- a convincing scientific record and several years of practical experience in the field of the professorship;
- enthusiasm for research and its practical implementation;
- teaching experience and didactic flair as well as joy in imparting knowledge and working with students;
- an entrepreneurial attitude towards acquiring third-party funded projects and sustainably positioning the institute in the field of the professorship;
- independence, creativity, and teamwork skills.

The appointment to professor will be made by the University of Applied Sciences Council upon appropriate qualification.
