Director of the Continuing Education Centre

As a member of the extended Management, you define and implement the continuing education strategy of HEIG-VD. You support the development of an innovative and high value-added offer that meets the needs of businesses, institutions and society. You lead a centre of expertise at the heart of lifelong learning challenges and actively contribute to the reputation of the University of Applied Sciences. In collaboration with departments and training managers, you contribute to the positioning, enhancement and visibility of offers whose design and pedagogical deployment are carried out by academic teams.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the strategic management of HEIG-VD as a member of the extended Management
• Develop and implement the continuing education development strategy in line with institutional orientations
• Develop and implement the continuing education development strategy in line with institutional orientations
• Identify growth opportunities and promote the development of new certified and non-certified training offers
• Manage the Continuing Education Centre and ensure the management of its human, financial and organisational resources
• Advise and support training managers in the design, launch and monitoring of their programmes
• Ensure the quality, regulatory compliance and economic viability of the centre's activities
• Develop and maintain partnerships with economic, institutional, academic and professional sectors in Switzerland and internationally
• Ensure the promotion and visibility of HEIG-VD's continuing education offer
• Represent HEIG-VD to its partners, businesses, institutions and authorities, and contribute to the University of Applied Sciences' reputation in the field of continuing education

YOUR PROFILE

You are a unifying personality, with a strong ability to develop projects and mobilise stakeholders with varied interests around a common vision.

You have:

• A university or University of Applied Sciences Master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification
• Additional training in educational sciences, management, public administration or management of training institutions is an asset
• At least five years of experience in management roles and team leadership in a complex environment
• Significant experience in adult education or higher education
• Good knowledge of the Swiss education system and, ideally, the context of universities of applied sciences and the European environment
• Excellent understanding of issues related to continuing education, skills development and lifelong learning
• Proven experience in managing strategic and cross-functional projects as well as operational and budgetary management
• Ability to analyse the needs of businesses and institutions, identify development opportunities and position an offer to diverse audiences
