The municipality of Gossau ZH in the Zurich Oberland has over 10,500 inhabitants. In our service-oriented municipal administration, around 130 employees work in six departments. The Social Service area of the Social Department covers a versatile and exciting field around personal and financial assistance. Deputy Team Leader Social Counselling (80% - 100%)
Your area of responsibility:
- Advising and supporting people in challenging life situations
- Comprehensive case management in the area of financial social assistance according to the Social Assistance Act as well as the Asylum Care Ordinance
- Professional and social integration planning together with clients and its implementation
- Assertion of financial claims against third parties (subsidiarity)
- Application submission and professional preparation of matters for the social authority
- Responsibility for varied and complex administrative tasks with support within a tandem system
- Deputising for and supporting the Team Leader Social Counselling
Your profile:
- Education or training in social work or social insurance or relevant experience
- Experience in personal and financial assistance
- Knowledge of asylum matters and the specialist application "KlibNet" is an advantage
- High social and advisory competence
- Supportive attitude and understanding for people in different life situations
- Confident in spoken and written language as well as proficient with numbers
- Foresight and the ability to think in a networked way
- Interest in leadership tasks
