Application Manager in Medical Informatics

The Directorate of Technology and Innovation (DTI) is responsible for technology management at Insel Group. To ensure the operation of medical applications and systems within the Medical Informatics team, we are looking for an Application Manager.

What to expect

• Together with your team, you are responsible for the operation of around 150 applications, the further development and life-cycle management of your assigned applications, and ensure comprehensive documentation as well as budgeting of financial resources
• You act as the interface between clinics, IT, and external service providers, as well as a link to medical technology
• You analyse requirements and translate them into sustainable solutions while adhering to the processes and standards of Insel Group's IT
• You ensure system availability, conduct error analyses, propose improvements to support clinical processes
• You plan and coordinate updates, releases, and rollouts in close coordination with the clinics
• You independently manage smaller projects according to the guidelines of Insel Group's IT
• You are willing to take on an on-call duty within the team
• You actively contribute to the implementation of data protection and data security policies – especially in handling sensitive patient data – and take the lead on smaller projects

What you bring

• Completed higher education as an IT specialist, e.g. business informatics specialist, medical informatics specialist
• Ideally, professional experience in healthcare or hospital environments as well as experience in application management according to ITIL
• Good knowledge in operating systems, complex IT infrastructures, and database systems
• Analytical, interconnected thinking as well as conceptual and planning skills
• Independent, structured, proactive working style and high initiative
• Experience with AI and cloud solutions is a plus, and knowledge in information and data security rounds off your profile
• Leadership, organisational and planning skills combined with good communication skills further distinguish you
