The Committee for UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein is looking for a committed individual in the Partnerships & Philanthropy department in Zurich from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement as
Intern International Programs, 100% (m/f/d)
In this varied position, you will gain comprehensive insights into UNICEF's international programme work and support the development and preparation of programmes for various donors.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Supporting programme managers in the creation and preparation of various programme documents for different funders (drafting pitch documents, developing and preparing project proposals, analysing and preparing programme and progress reports)
- Independent research and professional preparation of materials, briefings and presentations on key UNICEF topics (survival, education, child protection, WASH, climate, social protection)
- Administrative support, especially maintaining and updating databases as well as documentation tasks
- Gradual assumption of direct communication with UNICEF country offices to obtain programme-related information, updates and professional input
- Gradual assumption of your own clearly defined area of work and programmes, depending on experience and development during the internship
For this role, you bring the following:
- Completed Master’s degree or near completion in international relations, international cooperation, social sciences, political science or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in international cooperation and humanitarian issues
- Experience in research and clear presentation of complex information
- Strong organisational skills, as well as a structured and reliable working style, enabling you to keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously and to advance tasks independently
- Intercultural competence and enjoyment in working with international partners and teams
- Very good written proficiency in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage
