About the job
About us
LGT is a leading international private banking and asset management group, owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein for over 100 years. With around 600 employees, LGT Bank Switzerland has established itself as a renowned Swiss private bank and is an excellent address for both wealthy private clients and employees - this was also confirmed last year by the independent institute "Great Place To Work", which awarded LGT Bank Switzerland as one of the best employers in Switzerland.
Your area of responsibility
- During customer acquisition and onboarding, you are the first point of contact for Relationship Managers regarding due diligence questions and promote clear, constructive collaboration with Compliance.
- As part of the first line of defence, you identify and assess money laundering, reputational and other business risks and prepare written risk assessments for clients.
- You propose pragmatic, risk-appropriate controls and measures to mitigate risks. This supports efficient and sustainable customer acquisition and corresponding onboarding within the applicable regulatory framework.
- You proactively advise the Front Office and act as a sparring partner. You constructively question positions, contribute your perspective to internal stakeholders and help achieve sustainable and scalable growth of the bank.
Your profile
- Experience as a Business Risk Manager or in a comparable role in the first line of defence, in audit and/or as a Compliance Officer at a Swiss bank.
- University degree, for example a Master’s in law or economics, and/or relevant certifications, such as in due diligence (compliance) or sanctions. You are familiar with international markets and the regulatory environment and have experience with background checks.
- Solution-oriented mindset and the ability to weigh risks and business aspects, represent the business perspective in risk discussions and translate regulatory requirements in line with the bank’s risk appetite into clear, practical recommendations for the Front Office.
- Reliable, responsible and risk-sensitive personality with analytical thinking skills, strong communication abilities and a careful, structured working style. You work well in a team under pressure and are flexible.
- Fluent German and English skills; additional language skills are an advantage.
