Your future employer is a renowned Swiss financial service provider based in Zurich. The Identity & Access Management is being newly organised there: from several distributed responsibilities, a central, growing team for security architecture and IAM is emerging. Around 200 applications are connected to the IGA platform. An ongoing IAM transformation programme consolidates processes and introduces a new role model. You will be professionally responsible for the governance part in this team in the first line, reporting to the team management. The guidelines are set and reviewed by the second line, with whom you will work closely.

My challenges

• Design access concepts and authorisation models according to need-to-know and least privilege principles and anchor and further develop role models in the connected applications.

• Be responsible for the regular recertification and revalidation of authorisations, from preparation through execution to documentation and sustainable clean-up.

• Analyse critical authorisation combinations and access risks, assess deviations and implement effective measures together with the specialist departments.

• Independently accompany internal and external IAM audits and set up controls, evidence and documentation so that they withstand any examination.

• Help shape the IAM vision in the ongoing transformation programme and subsequently continue to optimise the processes in the line.

• Use AI purposefully in governance: evaluate authorisation data, detect over-authorised accounts and SoD conflicts, derive roles from actual authorisations, use recommendations in recertification and generate audit evidence automatically.

• Include technical identities such as service accounts and service principals as well as AI agents in governance: assign responsible owners and control, recertify and document approvals and data accesses according to least privilege.

• Precisely describe requirements and hand them over to engineering, which is responsible for the technical implementation in the IGA platform.

• Advise projects and application teams on connecting new applications and identities and clarify deviations between authorisations, role models and technical implementation.

• Deliberately focus on process work: around 30% governance, 50% implementation without own development work, 20% audit support.

My skills

• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, with a clear focus on Access Governance and a strong affinity for AI including practical experience.

• Solid understanding of authorisation models, role management and control mechanisms, plus practical experience in recertification, revalidation, segregation of duties and risk-based access controls.

• Understanding of IAM processes in regulated environments is central. Own experience in a regulated company is welcome but not a prerequisite.

• Practical experience with an IGA platform such as One Identity, SailPoint, Omada, Okta or Saviynt. A proprietary development counts equally if the governance understanding is sound.

• Very good technical affinity and good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID. Active Directory, PAM and cloud authorisations are welcome but not mandatory.

• AI at implementation level: integrate AI functions into existing processes and work agentically, with clear approvals and human control. Affinity for AI is a requirement in this role.

• Good understanding of the requirements of auditors and reviewers.

• Assertiveness towards specialist departments and conceptual strength in role and control models, plus robust stakeholder management up to management level.

• Higher education or equivalent experience. Certifications in IGA and IAM, CISSP or CISM are advantageous.

• German at level B2 and very good English.
