Pro Natura is the leading nature conservation organisation in Switzerland. With its 170,000 members, it is committed to the promotion and preservation of native fauna and flora. Around one hundred people work at the Pro Natura General Secretariat, and another 100 are active in the 23 cantonal sections.

To strengthen the human resources service at the Pro Natura General Secretariat in Basel, we are looking for, from 1 March 2027 or a date to be agreed, a

HR Generalist, 80%-90%

Your mission

You accompany and support employees and line managers throughout their life cycle within the organisation, independently.

Your tasks

• Support and advice to line managers regarding workforce planning, prospecting, recruitment, supervision and development
• Contact for all questions relating to human resources, both for employees and line managers
• Support and advice in cases of illness, accident and retirement
• Responsibility for the administrative management of entry and exit processes, including personnel file management
• Revision of regulations and employment conditions
• Personality tests as part of recruitment, situation assessments, etc.
• Support and advice to line managers for salary setting and staff selection
• Support to the HR manager and deputising in their absence
• Taking charge of personal projects, participating in projects and technical responsibility for certain HR topics such as health management

Your profile

• Training as an HR specialist and several years of experience in an HR advisory and support role
• Experience in HR administration, autonomous drafting of certificates and all HR processes
• Strong sense of human relations and what is needed in certain situations, great empathy and solid interpersonal skills
• Talent for finding the right words in delicate moments, a kind and humourful outlook on others
• Calm and pragmatic approach to challenges, confident and optimistic attitude
• Courage and curiosity, strong capacity for introspection, and pleasure in accompanying and supporting others
• Fluent in German (native language) and very good command of French; bilingualism is an asset
• Affinity for IT and digitalisation, experience and interest in the relevant and sustainable use of AI in human resources
• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, creativity, integrity and ability to manage conflicts
