The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre, inaugurated at the end of 2019, has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. To complete our hospitality and catering unit, we are looking for a:
Professional waiter/waitress EXTRA on an hourly basis M/F
The main duties of this position are
Catering:
• Provide a professional and attentive service, ensuring the satisfaction and well-being of patients, visitors and collaborators.
• Set up and carry out a careful and efficient service in our various catering areas.
• Handle payments, manage the till with rigour and precision, and ensure impeccable maintenance of workstations.
• Restock display cases and stocks according to the FIFO principle, constantly paying attention to the freshness and quality of products.
• Ensure cleaning, order and impeccable cleanliness of sales points, strictly respecting hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, food safety).
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes and maintain a welcoming and safe working environment.

Hospitality:
• Warmly welcome patients and visitors, with empathy and professionalism, and respond to their needs with kindness.
• Take meal orders accurately and clearly in the dedicated software, respecting dietary requirements.
• Distribute meal trays and ensure discreet and careful clearing, respecting the patients’ pace and comfort.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of food service areas, respecting hospital hygiene procedures.
• Prepare and arrange materials and goods meticulously and methodically.

Catering and events:
• Welcome and serve the public during events, ensuring a quality experience and smooth service.
• Perform duties according to job descriptions, paying attention to elegant presentation and attention to detail.
• Store, stock and organise equipment optimally and securely.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness and an orderly workspace.
We require
Your experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the traditional hospitality and catering sector required.
• Experience in banqueting, catering or events highly appreciated.
• Experience in high-end catering and/or hospital environment is a valuable asset.

Your skills:
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP standards, proactive sales techniques, and ability to promote offered products.
• Culinary curiosity and oenological interest, with ability to advise and guide customers.
• Proficiency with IT tools (TCPOS, Eventbrite, Logimen would be an asset).
• Fluent French (spoken/written) essential, B2 level English required, other languages welcome.
• Strong sense of operational excellence, attention to detail and cleanliness.

Your training:
• A Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a catering specialist or recognised equivalent, or significant experience (minimum 3 years) in traditional hospitality and catering required.
• Barista training desired.
• Training in hospitality or events is an appreciated asset.
