Task
You can contribute- Conduct in-depth clarifications for granting the S-status, if necessary carry out and record additional interviews (in the presence of interpreters and legal representation) and draft German or French language S-status orders
- Perform triage activities: check personal data of applicants and supplement missing information; conduct brief research; identify exceptional cases
- Edit well-founded German or French language decisions to terminate and extinguish the S-status
- Handle other matters within the framework of appeal procedures (legal hearing, statements for the Federal Administrative Court)

- Editorial and analytical skills
- Procedural knowledge in S-status or asylum as well as experience in conducting initial interviews and hearings is an advantage
- High commitment and resilience as well as flexibility, teamwork skills and confident appearance

In a nutshell
The temporary S-status section is responsible for the registration process of protection seekers, their allocation to the cantons, and the decision on granting protection status. It is also responsible for the operational execution of the termination and revocation of the S-status.
The State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) is responsible for all migration law matters in Switzerland. The Asylum Directorate of the SEM examines and decides on asylum applications submitted in Switzerland.
