System Engineer (m/f/d) 80 - 100 %
Your tasks
- You ensure the operation of our modern IT infrastructure and platforms and take responsibility for the areas of backup & archiving, monitoring, virtualisation, servers, storage, and Microsoft services.
- In addition, you support the operation and further development of platform-related applications and actively contribute to the implementation and operation of security solutions and security measures.
- You ensure the operational stability of our IT platforms, analyse faults, coordinate their resolution, and support the 2nd-level support with your solid technical expertise. In doing so, you continuously work on optimising and automating operational processes.
- You plan and accompany changes, upgrades, and lifecycle activities and ensure the sustainable further development of the platforms you are responsible for.
- You see occasional on-call duties as a welcome change as well as active participation in IT projects.
Your experience and personality
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ or technical basic training with corresponding further education in the IT field.
- Several years of experience in operating IT infrastructures, especially in the areas of backup & archiving (ideally Commvault), monitoring (Checkmk), virtualisation (VMware), as well as server and storage infrastructures (preferably HPE and NetApp).
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID).
- Experience in operating and further developing IT platforms as well as a strong understanding of IT security and operational processes.
- You like to take responsibility, have a hands-on mentality, and work solution-oriented and cross-departmentally.
- You are characterised by a high willingness to learn, are open to new technologies, and continuously develop your professional skills.
- You communicate fluently in German and have good English skills, both spoken and written.
