In the Technology Services area, we have an immediate or agreed start for the newly created role of Squad Lead Modern Workplace in Zurich or Germany. This role is responsible for the operation and optimisation of the Google Workspace infrastructure, ensures innovation management, the identification and implementation of AI solutions around the digital workplace, and builds a Centre of Excellence in the Digital Workplace area.

Your tasks

• Platform Engineering & Operations: Responsibility for the lifecycle, continuous development, and stable 7x24h operation of the Google Workspace-based infrastructure as well as its cost and performance optimisation
• Process Automation: Reduction of manual support efforts through continuous modernisation of processes
• Security & Governance: Ensuring security and compliance requirements in the Google Workspace environment
• System Integration & Support: Managing the integration of third-party applications and taking over 3rd-level support for complex incidents
• AI Integration & Adoption: Identification and implementation of AI agents to increase efficiency as well as development of AI and Workspace training for employees
• Architecture & Innovation: Developing future-proof architectural guidelines and establishing an internal "Centre of Excellence" for the Digital Workplace
• Team Leadership & Strategy: Technical and personnel leadership of 3 - 5 engineers as well as leading strategic planning in collaboration with other units
• Project & Provider Management: Leading cross-departmental IT projects and managing external service providers

Your profile

• Education & Experience: Certified computer scientist, ideally with a university degree in IT/Management and many years of experience in change and project management
• Google Workspace & Cloud: Solid professional experience in operating and automating Google Workspace environments as well as knowledge of Google Cloud, VertexAI, and Agentic AI
• Methodology & Architecture: Knowledge of ITIL and project management methods (e.g. Prince2, SCRUM) and strong analytical thinking skills
• AI Competence: Enthusiasm for integrating AI solutions and their application in the work environment
• Support & Customer Orientation: Experience as an internal or external IT service provider with a strong solution orientation and customer focus
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a strong affinity for digitalisation and the "New Way of Work"
• Certifications: Certifications in security or Google Workspace are desirable
• Language Skills: Very good German skills (native or C-level) and good English skills (at least B-level)
