Senior Consultant Generative AI & Agentic AI 60-100%

This is the job - Your main tasks

• End-to-End Development: You accompany AI solutions throughout the entire lifecycle - from rapid prototyping through proof-of-concept to transfer into a scalable, highly available production environment

• Engineering of AI Services: You develop robust backend services in Python that seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and perform stably even under load

• Architecture of autonomous agents: You build intelligent agent systems that automate real workflows using tool-calling and memory management and act safely within defined Guardrails

• Agentic SDLC: You specifically integrate AI agents into the development process - from AI-assisted coding and code reviews to automated tests and intelligent documentation. You make the entire software development lifecycle more efficient through the use of Agentic tools

• Ensuring software excellence: You are responsible for code quality through clean architecture, automated tests and efficient CI/CD processes to ensure a smooth deployment-cycle

• Evaluation & Monitoring: You implement frameworks to measure the performance of your GenAI solutions (e.g. accuracy, latency, cost)

• Consulting: You work directly with our clients - in workshops and in sparring with specialist departments and management. You translate complex AI concepts into tangible business impacts and shape the right solution together with stakeholders

• Technology sparring: You assess technical feasibility and advise stakeholders on how innovative ideas become sustainable products

What you bring with you

• Excellent Python skills (production-ready): You master API development (e.g. FastAPI, Pydantic), containerisation, testing (unit/integration) as well as Git and CI/CD securely - far beyond pure notebook scripts

• Solid architecture understanding: You apply SOLID principles, clean architecture, dependency injection and async/concurrency routinely and use ORM (e.g. SQLAlchemy) for clean database interactions

• Practical experience with multimodal LLM APIs: Confident handling of leading models (OpenAI, Anthropic) as well as cloud platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock)

• Advanced GenAI Engineering: Mastery of prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON) and tool-/function-calling

• RAG expertise (end-to-end): Building complete pipelines from embeddings through vector DBs (e.g. pgvector) to complex retrieval, re-ranking and evaluation

• Agent development: Experience in planning and orchestrating autonomous systems (e.g. with Pydantic AI), including memory management and guardrails

• Consulting competence: Experience working directly with clients. You can moderate workshops, present results and navigate confidently in complex stakeholder landscapes

• Languages: German fluent (C1), English business fluent

• Education: Completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics, data science, business informatics or comparable (B.Sc. or higher)

As the icing on the cake you bring

• You have experience in cloud environments, ideally with cloud certifications for Azure, AWS or GCP.
