About the job

For the Culture Percentage of the Migros Cooperative Zurich, we are looking for an initiative personality with in-depth knowledge of the local music scene, as well as experience in event management. You will be responsible for the applications in the music division and manage partnerships. You will implement projects according to strategic objectives and take responsibility for the internship position.

What you will achieve

• Processing submitted applications as well as responsibility for awarding funding in the field of music (all styles)
• Leading and organising the annual Summer Night Ball at Zurich HB as well as supporting, accompanying and developing further events and formats
• Building, maintaining and further developing partnerships
• Planning and implementing communication measures
• Leading and participating in various projects of the Culture Percentage
• Responsibility and supervision of the internship

What you bring

• Education: Completed studies (Uni/ETH, FH, HF)
• Field: In the area of cultural management, music/art and cultural mediation or equivalent
• Professional experience: At least 2-3 years of professional experience in cultural management, funding or event management
• Strong interest and openness towards various music styles as well as knowledge of the funding landscape
• Solid experience in event organisation, project management and communication
• In-depth understanding of business processes and contexts
• Willingness for occasional visits to events and networking in the evenings and at weekends
• Creative, initiative and networked thinking personality with a high sense of quality and responsibility
• Enjoyment in dealing with different groups of people
• German (C1)
