VZ is the leading independent financial service provider in Switzerland. The approximately 30 experts in the field of business succession support our clients in passing on their companies and conduct numerous business transactions (M&A, MBI, MBO and FBO) every year. To expand our succession department in the heart of Bern, we are looking for a committed individual for the area of business succession / M&A with a focus on external business transactions.Consultant Business Succession / M&A
What to expect with us
- Independent support and implementation of external company transactions in the Bern region (target segment: SMEs with a transaction volume of 1 – 30 million).
- Analysing company documents, preparing company valuations and company documentation.
- Research and addressing potential buyers.
- Conducting negotiations up to civil law and tax implementation (Signing / Closing).
- Acquisition of new succession mandates.
- Coordination and situational involvement of internal specialists (tax, law, auditing, financing, financial planning, pension provision) to ensure a holistic and customer-oriented implementation.
What you bring
- Professional experience in business succession / M&A (ideally 2 years+)
- Completed studies at a university of applied sciences/university or equivalent further education (certified fiduciary expert, certified auditor or similar)
- Empathy, a solution-oriented mindset and negotiation skills
- Ability to convince clients of you as a project manager and to win exciting sales mandates
- Enjoyment in contact with different stakeholders and enthusiasm for the world of Swiss SMEs
- Analytical thinking and ability to present complex contexts clearly
- Fluent communication in German, additional fluent language skills (especially English) are an advantage
- Regional roots and motivation to expand and further develop the succession department in Bern and at the current locations Burgdorf, Thun and Solothurn
