Do you want to accompany children in their development, discover the world with them and actively shape their everyday life? At the Ratatui daycare centre of the University Psychiatric Centre Bern at the Münsingen location, you are right in the middle and learn how to lovingly, attentively and professionally support children in their first and important years of life. As a childcare specialist EFZ specialising in children, you support the children in their physical, mental, emotional and social development. It is guaranteed never to be boring: you play, craft, sing, tell stories, help with eating and personal care, and together with the team ensure a varied and safe daily routine.

Your tasks

• You accompany and care for children in everyday life and support them according to their age and individual needs
• You promote the children playfully in their physical, mental, emotional and social development
• You design creative, playful and age-appropriate activities and contribute your own ideas
• You support the children with eating, personal care, napping and other everyday situations
• You accompany the children during transitions and changes in the daily routine - from the morning farewell to the return home
• You observe the development of the children and learn to perceive their needs and respond appropriately
• You work closely with the care team and the parents and gradually take on more responsibility

Your profile

• You have completed compulsory schooling
• You enjoy working with children and want to accompany and support them in their development
• You are patient, empathetic, reliable, like to take responsibility and are open to learning new things and developing yourself
• You enjoy working in a team and approach other people openly and respectfully
• You like to immerse yourself in the world of children and actively participate in playing, crafting, singing, reading aloud and discovering
• You bring motivation, creativity and a sense of humour
