Take on technical responsibility and simultaneously advance an engineering team?

In this role, you will work as an experienced System Engineer close to our infrastructure while also taking on leadership responsibilities within the engineering team. You will design, operate, and further develop our IT environments, support complex technical issues, and ensure stable, secure, and sustainable solutions together with the team.

Your main tasks:

• Design, operation, and further development of our IT infrastructure
• Technical responsibility in the areas of Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup, as well as workplace and VDI
• Analysis and resolution of complex technical faults
• Planning and implementation of infrastructure changes and technical projects
• Further development of standards, documentation, and technical solutions
• Leadership and coordination tasks within the engineering team
• Support and development of engineers in technical and organisational matters
• Collaboration with support, internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
• Participation in architecture, lifecycle, and technology decisions

What we expect from you:

• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in demanding IT environments
• Broad technical know-how across multiple infrastructure topics, especially Microsoft Server and cloud environments, virtualisation, storage, backup, as well as workplace and VDI solutions
• In-depth knowledge in at least one of these areas
• Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Experience with VMware and ideally Citrix as well as virtual workplace environments
• Good understanding of network and security basics and their interaction with the rest of the infrastructure
• Experience in design, operation, and troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructures
• Experience in leading, coordinating, or developing employees
• Structured, independent, and quality-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills in exchange with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners
• Very good Swiss German and German skills as well as good English and/or French skills
