Tea Repertoire is a Swiss premium tea house specialising in exceptional teas, with particular expertise in Japanese tea and matcha.

From November 2026 until the end of January 2027, we will open a new Tea Repertoire pop-up inside Zurich Main Station (Zurich HB).

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable part-time Sales Associates who enjoy sales, interacting with customers and working in a dynamic environment — and who already have some practical experience preparing matcha.

This is first and foremost a retail and sales position. Matcha drinks are an important part of the experience, but our priority is always the customer and the shop.

Your role

As a Sales Associate – Matcha & Tea, you will represent Tea Repertoire and introduce customers to our world of Japanese tea and matcha.

You will be responsible for both retail sales and matcha drink preparation, often managing several customer needs at the same time.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Proactively welcoming and engaging customers
• Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable teas, matcha and accessories
• Driving retail sales through knowledgeable and natural customer interactions
• Explaining our products, their origins, producers and flavour profiles in an accessible way
• Preparing matcha and matcha drinks accurately and efficiently
• Managing retail customers and drink orders simultaneously
• Processing card payments
• Maintaining an attractive and well-organised shop
• Monitoring and replenishing stock
• Keeping the retail and drink-preparation areas clean
• Following our food hygiene and preparation procedures
• Completing opening and closing procedures
• Working independently when required
• Occasionally creating simple photo or video content when shop activity allows

Matcha experience

Previous practical experience preparing matcha is important for this role.

You should already be familiar with basic matcha preparation and ideally have experience preparing drinks such as Matcha Latte or Iced Matcha Latte.

However, we are not simply looking for a barista.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can combine good matcha preparation skills with strong retail instincts, customer engagement and sales ability.

Tea Repertoire will provide further training on our products, preparation standards and approach to customer experience.

Previous experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly relevant:

• Premium or luxury retail
• Tea or matcha shops
• Matcha cafés
• Speciality coffee
• Hospitality
• Food & beverage
• Premium customer service

We are more interested in what you can do than in your previous job title.

Languages

Required / strongly preferred:

• Good German communication skills
• Ability to communicate comfortably in English

An advantage:

• Swiss German
• French
• Other languages relevant to an international customer base

Working conditions

Location: Zurich HB – Zurich Main Station
Period: November 2026 until the end of January 2027
Workload: Approx. 8–16 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible part-time / half-day shifts
Weekend availability: Required
Employment: Temporary position for the duration of the pop-up

The pop-up opening hours are:

• Monday–Friday: 09:00–19:00
• Saturday–Sunday: 10:00–18:00

You may sometimes be required to operate the pop-up independently, so reliability, judgement and confidence working alone are important.

The position is particularly suitable for students or candidates looking for flexible part-time work, but applications from other profiles are equally welcome.
