We specialise in data centre and cloud infrastructures and support demanding customers - especially from the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors - with customised solutions and managed services.

Axians operates its own private clouds. More and more customers are moving from their local infrastructure to these, which is why the platform team is growing. Here you bring customers into the cloud, together with specialist teams for backend, network and firewall, who have your back.

How you create added value

You build each customer's new environment in our cloud and are their technical contact person throughout the project, from start to finish.

• On-site assessment: Together with the customer and the previous IT service provider, you record the infrastructure and create the inventory for the migration
• Technical planning: You plan the migration at platform level and provide the specialist teams for network, firewall and backend with the information they need for implementation
• Setup: You build the customer environment from the operating system upwards: Windows Server, Active Directory, applications, M365
• Testing and migration: Test environment, data migration with external partners and manufacturers, customer tests and finally the migration weekend with live migration and switching of interfaces on site
• Handover: You document and hand over the customer cleanly to operations. In the first weeks afterwards, you are still their first point of contact
• Project management: You lead your project technically. You define dependencies, coordinate with project management and coordinate customer, partners, manufacturers and our specialist teams

What makes you the ideal candidate

• Several years of experience as a system engineer, ideally at an IT service provider with customer projects
• Experience in leading customer projects: You have already led projects technically and coordinated customers, partners and specialist teams
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and M365
• Advanced basic knowledge in virtualisation (VMware), storage, network and firewall. Deep specialist knowledge is not required
• Experience with migrations of infrastructure, applications and data, ideally into a private, public or hybrid cloud
• You enjoy being with the customer, clarify requirements yourself and translate them for the specialist teams
• You take responsibility for your project, rather than just processing orders
• You are willing to accompany migrations outside normal hours or at weekends if necessary. Such assignments are not the rule but are part of customer migrations
• Experience in the medical IT environment (hospitals, practices, HIS, radiology, laboratory) is a plus but not a must
• Very good German and technical English
