The Bathing and Ice Facilities Department, with around 350 employees, is responsible for the operation of approximately 21 indoor and outdoor pools as well as two ice facilities.
To strengthen our existing teams, we are looking for a committed and responsible
Swimming Attendant, 40-80%, for our Leimbach indoor pool from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement
Tasks
- Take responsibility for supervision, rescue operations, first aid services and cashier duties
- Ensure safety and order on the premises
- Attend to the bathers
- Carry out general cleaning tasks
- Perform maintenance and repair work
Profile
- Swimming certificate IGBA PRO, Swiss lifeguard certificate or SLRG PRO Pool certificate, including BLS-AED (certificates must not be older than 1 year)
- Enjoyment in dealing with guests and strong service orientation
- Very good spoken German skills
- Independent, reliable and careful working style
- Technical understanding and interest

About us
The Sports Office is a service department of the School and Sports Department of the City of Zurich. It is the competence centre for sports promotion and provides sports facilities as well as indoor and outdoor pools to the physically active population and clubs. The organisation of compulsory swimming lessons and voluntary school sports are also core tasks of the Sports Office. Through targeted information, the Sports Office motivates more physical activity and advises and supports sports organisations.
