About the job
For all those who want not only to mill – but to design and take responsibility.
Welcome to Leitner AG – a true Seeland original. Our highly precise milled parts and surgical instruments are used worldwide in the most demanding operating theatres. We develop, programme, mill, assemble and clean – with precision, passion and team spirit.
Our Milling Department is the backbone of our MedTech production: a team of eleven to twelve specialists, all experienced, committed and with an average age of around 30 years. Here, prototypes, initial series and small series meet a modern machine park – with room for personal responsibility, technical variety and personal growth.
Now we are looking for you – as experienced reinforcement in an environment that challenges, promotes and offers scope for design. If you want to do more than just work through tasks and want to help shape processes, you are exactly right with us.
Production Mechanic Milling with Willingness for Late Shift (m/f/d) / 100%
What awaits you – variety, precision, personal responsibility
- You manufacture highly demanding milled components made of chrome steel, stainless steel, titanium or CFRP – mainly small series.
- You work on modern 5-axis milling centres (Mikron, Quaser) with Heidenhain controls – in a machine park with over 20 systems.
- You operate CNC machines, load and unload automated, robot-controlled systems (e.g. Workpartner1+) and contribute your know-how to optimise processes.
- You work closely with colleagues who are on the day shift, form a dynamic duo with your early shift partner and together with the team ensure that our production remains efficient.
What strengthens you with us – expertise, dynamism, team spirit
- A young, experienced team with high expertise – everyone helps each other
- A committed department head and a very experienced deputy who not only lead but also pitch in and support you
- A bright, clean workplace with a well-thought-out layout, modern infrastructure and a calm but dynamic production atmosphere
- A genuine sense of togetherness: direct, honest, solution-oriented – with us, the product and the team count, not the ego
What you get from it – more than just a job
- A secure workplace in a future-oriented medical technology company with real impact
- A collegial culture, flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths
- Fair and transparent employment conditions
- 40-hour week and also the commute is uncomplicated: free employee parking spaces are available to you.
- For employees on the late shift, there are additionally separate, specially reserved parking spaces – so that even with a later start to work, a parking space is ready for you.
- Plannable working hours in shift operation: with us, you benefit from clearly regulated working hours that offer you enough free time for your personal daily planning depending on the shift. Early shift: 05:30 – 13:30: After work, you have the entire afternoon to organise as you wish. Late shift: 13:15 – 21:15: Use the morning for yourself and start your late shift relaxed. A 30-minute paid breakis included in both shifts.
What you bring – precision, experience, self-motivation
- Completed vocational training as a production mechanic EFZ
- Solid experience in operating 5-axis machines, loading and unloading robot-controlled systems and troubleshooting – ideally with Heidenhain control
- Enjoyment of many new products and technical challenges
- Thinking ahead, taking responsibility and as a resilient team player, you appreciate a dynamic environment where you can still make a difference and shape things
- Good German skills so that you can communicate confidently within the team and with our processes.
Have we piqued your interest? Then we look forward to getting to know you. Please submit your meaningful application including all relevant documents (cover letter, current CV, certificates).
