School Herzogenbuchsee – Kindergarten and primary school in the heart of Oberaargau: Centrally located on the main traffic axis between Bern and Olten, School Herzogenbuchsee offers children from the municipalities of Herzogenbuchsee and Niederönz comprehensive education from kindergarten to 6th grade. Currently, around 730 students are accompanied by a dedicated and versatile teaching team at five school and five kindergarten locations. In addition to regular lessons, the school also coordinates special education in speech therapy and psychomotor skills for the surrounding schools in the region.

Tasks

We have a school-owned Time out solution called Insel. In Insel, students who, for various reasons, are unable to participate in lessons in their regular class are taught and supervised. The goal is a quick reintegration into the regular class. You work on Tuesdays and Fridays for 4 lessons each from 8:15 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. with the Insel class and are supported by a classroom assistant. You work closely with the Insel class teacher. The focus in the lessons is on cross-disciplinary skills and only partly on subject-specific learning objectives.

Requirements

- You have training as a special needs educator or equivalent - You enjoy working in a team and communicate on equal footing with teachers and parents - You enjoy working individually with students with special needs
