Traffic education from kindergarten to the cycling test in 5th grade, training on topics such as sexualised violence or digital media in secondary school, class interventions after cyberbullying incidents, or interactive workshops in teacher training: With prevention work in schools, we address the development of children and young people at the earliest stage and aim with our proactive efforts to raise awareness, demonstrate courses of action, and thereby prevent crimes and accidents.
Your tasks
- Support in the development and further advancement of the entire range of services offered by the Bern Cantonal Police in the school environment (content-wise, methodologically, didactically) – especially on topics such as violence, sexualised violence, digital media, hate crime, etc.
- Development, organisation and delivery of training, counselling and teaching offers for pupils, teachers and other stakeholders in the school environment.
- Planning, management and further development of prevention projects as well as participation in prevention campaigns
- Creation of concepts, reports, training materials and expert analyses as well as evaluation of relevant statistics and scientific findings
- Collaboration with internal and external specialist agencies, authorities and committees as well as support of the department management in coordination and administrative tasks
For employees with police status:
- Possibility of deployments in the regular service of the stationed or mobile police by arrangement and assignment of superiors
- Performance of order service in accordance with applicable regulations
Your profile
- Completed initial training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ), Matura or equivalent qualification
- EDK-recognised teaching diploma (Bachelor or Master) or university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in social sciences, humanities, law or social work
- Advanced professional examination (HFP) in the police sector (only for police officers)
- Very good written and oral expression skills in German and good knowledge of French
