Tasks

• Management of special school care in the areas of personnel, operations and pedagogy
• Personnel management of staff in the care sector with a span of control of around 20 employees
• Ensuring needs- and demand-oriented care in teaching and care
• Supporting the school management at the location in planning and implementing school development processes
• Deputising for the school management in the daily organisation at the location

Profile

• Qualification in social pedagogy at tertiary level (university of applied sciences, higher technical college)
• A completed management training or willingness to complete one as well as practical leadership experience
• Experience in the special education sector
• Strong social and self-competences, as well as a clear integrative attitude
• Very good team and communication skills

About us

The Heilpädagogische Schule of the City of Zurich is a day special school for children aged 4 to 15 with cognitive and/or multiple impairments. As part of the Special Education Department, we offer pupils who are taught in separate classes in various school buildings in the City of Zurich a supportive environment and focus the interdisciplinary promotion on their strengths.

Our teams at the various locations in the City of Zurich consist of school special educators, social pedagogues, care professionals, apprentices and assistants.
