Head of Development Industrial & Scientific Software

Our development centre at the Aarau location focuses, among other things, on the development of industrial solutions.

To complement the management team at the Aarau location, we are looking for a qualified individual as:

Area of responsibility

• Responsibility for the development and implementation of customised software, data and AI solutions for products and processes, together with your qualified engineering team
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of a team of software, data and AI specialists
• Management and implementation of customer-specific software, data and AI solutions in an industrial environment
• Positioning and further development of the team as a competence centre for software, data and AI solutions within the company
• Bringing the team's expertise into cross-departmental projects
• Assuming the role of project manager and "flag bearer" of the service portfolio
• Independent acquisition of orders and projects in your own service focus
• Maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships as well as establishing new customer contacts
• Strategic further development of your team's service competencies towards new, innovative areas and services, for example in the field of AI-based product development
• Co-designing and implementing the long-term orientation of the service offering
• Assuming an entrepreneurial leadership role with great scope for design and corresponding responsibility

Requirements

Your personal characteristics:

• Strong entrepreneurial thinking, high commitment, resilience and social competence
• Ability to recognise customer needs early and convincingly position suitable services
• Experience in creating convincing offers as well as in leading contract negotiations
• Experience in building and systematically maintaining a qualified sales pipeline
• Very good university degree in computer science (ETH, university or university of applied sciences) or an equivalent qualification
• Solid and many years of experience in software development, project management and leadership
• Proven success in new customer acquisition as well as in building and further developing long-term customer relationships
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
