The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (e.g. when refuelling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and consultations for business, research and administration. Measurement accuracy creates trust, especially at societal and political levels, and is essential in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transmission, measurements in environmental and health sectors, etc. At METAS, various specialist fields come together and complement each other – and this has been the case since 1862.
Your new challenge
- Organisation of events and courses, including responsibility for their execution, as well as planning and organising business trips and meetings.
- Monitoring of appointments and deadlines, management of external correspondence, as well as maintenance and updating of the database and internal documents.
- Preparation and support of reports and presentations.
- Support of departments with administrative tasks and independent handling of customer enquiries.
- Coordination of translations, administration in projects, and deputising for reception staff during absences.
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training (KV EFZ)
- Good knowledge of French (at least level B1) for daily correspondence, telephone calls and cooperation with French-speaking contacts
- Several years of experience in commercial administration, ideally in an assistant, coordination or hub function
- Committed, resilient and flexible personality with a high degree of personal responsibility, organisational talent and enjoyment of independent as well as team-oriented work
- Confident handling of MS Office applications; SAP knowledge is an advantage
