Do you develop network solutions that combine performance, security, and scalability? In this position, you combine deep technical know-how with project responsibility and design modern network architectures for demanding corporate environments. From SD-WAN to Zero Trust, you bring innovative technologies into practice.
Responsibilities:
Design, implementation, and optimisation of high-performance network architectures for complex IT environments
Ensuring stable and secure operation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructures
Development of scalable site networking with SD-WAN, VLAN segmentation, and modern routing concepts
Integration of security mechanisms such as Network Access Control, RADIUS, IDS/IPS, and next-generation firewalls
Analysis of complex network issues and sustainable resolution of performance and availability bottlenecks
Implementation of network projects from technical architecture through configuration to productive commissioning
Introduction of proactive monitoring and observability solutions for early detection of faults
Optimisation of network performance and data traffic through Quality of Service (QoS), traffic analysis, and targeted tuning
Planning of hardware renewals, firmware updates, and the entire lifecycle of network components
Maintenance of technical architecture documents, network plans, and configuration data in relevant management systems
Technical support in the development of individual ICT solutions as well as in technical architecture decisions
Qualifications:
Solid education in computer science, systems engineering, or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
Several years of experience in network engineering and operation of complex network landscapes
Very good knowledge of routing, switching, firewall technologies, and VPN solutions
Experience with SD-WAN, multi-site architectures, VLAN concepts, and network segmentation
Practical knowledge in NAC, RADIUS, IDS/IPS, and modern network security concepts
Experience in planning and implementing technical ICT projects with independent responsibility for results
Ability to plan technical projects in a structured manner, identify risks early, and successfully complete projects
Confident appearance in technical customer discussions and clear communication of complex issues
Independent, solution-oriented working style and interest in new technologies
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE are a plus
