BAK Economics is an independent Swiss economic research and consulting institute. We are looking for a committed, organisationally strong personality to lead our Central Unit, who will take on a versatile and responsible all-rounder role. As the central hub of the company, the Central Unit supports our various specialist departments and is responsible for internal processes – especially in the areas of HR and administration. In this role, you will take on a wide range of tasks, work independently, and actively shape the further development of our internal procedures.

Your role with us

• As the organisational heart, you lead the Central Unit and keep all central processes and workflows together – this is where the threads come together.
• You actively shape our HR processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle – from the first application to the last working day.
• You harmonise internal processes and interfaces and ensure that everything meshes smoothly.
• You act as a reliable partner to the finance department and provide active support in all matters.
• You question the status quo, optimise existing processes, and independently establish new workflows.
• You contribute to legal matters and maintain a confident overview of administrative procedures.
• You independently manage the shareholding and accompany the Board of Directors as a competent contact person on a variety of issues.
• In end support, you are the organisational backbone of our projects and ensure that everything is administratively in the right place.

Your profile

• Commercial basic training with further education in HR and/or payroll (e.g. HR specialist, personnel & social insurance clerk).
• Experience in an independent, coordinating role; initial leadership experience is an advantage.
• Experience in HR and payroll, ideally including payroll accounting.
• Knowledge of Swiss labour and social insurance law as well as company law (advantageous).
• Confident handling of Bexio and MS Office.
• Precise, independent and discreet working style as well as a pronounced understanding of processes.
• Very good German skills and good English skills; French is an advantage.
