Your responsibilities

• Responsibility for the cantonal-wide payroll processing for around 11,000 employees including monthly and annual accounts as well as payroll and social security relevant control processes
• Personnel, professional and organisational leadership of the four-member team as well as continuous development of the specialist area
• Strategic development of payroll and social security matters as well as SAP HCM
• Consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Leadership and participation in cantonal-wide projects as well as implementation of legal, organisational and technical innovations
• Ensuring compliance, quality and process responsibility as well as continuous optimisation of specialist processes

Your background

• Completed commercial basic training with advanced training in HR, payroll or social security
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in payroll and social security, ideally in a complex organisation
• Very good knowledge of SAP HCM as well as high IT affinity and interest in digitalisation and process optimisation
• Experience in leading and implementing projects as well as in developing processes and systems
• Strong business understanding as well as analytical and conceptual skills

Personnel Office

The Personnel Office of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft is part of the Finance and Church Directorate and is responsible for the uniform and strategic alignment of HR management within the cantonal administration.
The Personnel Service Centre (DLZ) is responsible for personnel administration, HR support and payroll processing – including the accounting of social security contributions for all administrative units of the canton.
