As Lead Frontend Developer, you steer the technical advancement of the frontend of interdiscount.ch. Together with our system architects, you define the frontend architecture. You also ensure knowledge transfer within the developer team and evaluate new technologies. Furthermore, you are an active part of one of our shop teams and develop new features for our customers.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the technical advancement and software architecture of the frontend of interdiscount.ch
• As Lead Developer, you proactively share your knowledge and promote the professional development of the entire frontend team
• You actively contribute to shaping our IT and software architecture, assess new technologies for their relevance, and prepare architectural decisions
• You actively develop new features for our customers in one of our agile development teams
• Technical excellence is a given for you: you consistently implement testing, monitoring, and software engineering best practices
• You actively drive the use of AI tools in software development

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing frontend solutions with Next.js or React, as well as other web technologies
• A completed degree (FH, university, ETH), ideally in computer science
• Very good knowledge of one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or C#
• Noticeable passion for frontend engineering: you enjoy diving into different topics and keep your knowledge up to date in areas such as SEO, Core Web Vitals, AI engineering, performance, and user experience
• Strong interest in AI engineering: you contribute ideas on how we can profitably use AI technologies for our online shop
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (ideally based on GitHub Actions) is a plus
• Fluent German in spoken and written form as well as good English skills
