Exciting tasks await:

• The school enrolment preparation course (EVK) prepares children and young people from the asylum sector for the transition to mainstream school.
• As a class teacher, you teach and support children (kindergarten - 2nd grade) who live in the cantonal accommodation in Wettingen.
• Together with the teachers of cycles 2 and 3, you shape the EVK at the Wettingen location.
• You actively engage in school and teaching development during the team working time on Tuesday afternoons.
• You work closely with the accommodation care team and thus help ensure that processes in the asylum sector run smoothly.

What you bring:

• You have a recognised diploma as a cycle 1 teacher. Further training in DaZ (German as a second language) is an advantage.
• You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment and respond appropriately and flexibly to rapidly changing circumstances.
• You enjoy working with people from different countries and can relate to children from other cultural backgrounds.
• You teach with great joy, patience and commitment. Individual support for pupils is close to your heart.
• You are an upbeat, team-oriented and communicative personality with a high degree of empathy.

Your working environment

The Cantonal Social Service is responsible for public social assistance, asylum and refugee affairs, as well as victim counselling and victim support. It is the appeals authority in the area of social assistance and supports municipalities in implementing their family and senior policies. In doing so, we work closely with other administrative offices, municipalities, other cantons, the federal government and third-party organisations.
