Tasks
Team Leader for Health Care Costs Related to Supplementary Benefits: You lead a team of 5-6 employees in the area of health care costs related to supplementary benefits. You are close to the day-to-day business and implement IT and regulatory adjustments proactively.
IT Skills / Digitalisation: You have very good IT user skills and enjoy further developing processes digitally and efficiently. You support your team in digital working methods and are responsible for the weekly payment run.
Review and Reimbursement of Health Care Costs: You review incoming health care cost invoices from persons receiving supplementary benefits who live at home, in a care home, or hospital, and reimburse these according to the applicable tariffs.
Reimbursement of Deductibles and Franchise: Reimbursement of all health insurance deductibles and franchises from the compulsory health insurance as well as invoices from private household helpers and other service providers according to the applicable tariffs.
Dental Costs: Clarify entitlement to reimbursement of dental treatments according to cantonal guidelines. Request dental documents for the trusted dentists and implement their decisions.
Profile
Experience: You have several years of professional experience, preferably in social or private insurance, a strong affinity for numbers, and an independent, goal-oriented, and precise working style.
Personality: You can inspire employees and possess social skills and leadership qualities. You are a trustworthy, curious personality and convince through your service-oriented and professional appearance.
Education: You have a commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) and sound knowledge in the social insurance sector. Further training in social insurance, leadership, or management is an advantage.
Language: You can express yourself precisely and error-free both orally and in writing; additional language skills are an advantage.

The Office for Social Contributions is responsible for granting various social benefits in the canton of Basel-Stadt and belongs to the Department of Economy, Social Affairs and Environment. It reviews claims for alimony assistance, disability assistance, supplementary benefits, premium reductions, rent contributions, and other needs-based social benefits.
