Head of Integration Office

Your tasks

• You lead the department with four teams and over 20 employees and create the conditions for successful collaboration together with them.
• The department's portfolio ranges from case management for initial integration of refugees and integration information meetings to project contributions and programme management.
• You steer the integration work strategically and ensure effective implementation of cantonal and national requirements – in particular the Swiss Integration Agenda and the Cantonal Integration Programme.
• You are responsible for the financial management of the department and deploy the available resources purposefully.
• You maintain a strong network and actively shape cooperation with the regular structures in the canton, the municipalities and the State Secretariat for Migration.
• You represent the department in the management of the Migration Office and contribute to the further development of the organisation.
• You take on the role of Integration Delegate of the Canton of Thurgau and sit on various cantonal and national committees.

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in social sciences, business administration or a comparable qualification and possess proven leadership skills and several years of leadership experience.
• You are interested in business management contexts, have knowledge of project management, think analytically and act in a solution-oriented manner.
• You bring further training in the field of migration/integration, know the regular structures and understand their interplay.
• You communicate convincingly and have strong negotiation and mediation skills in dealing with private and official actors.
• You are characterised by decisiveness and a sense of responsibility, are resilient and capable of handling conflict, and present yourself confidently and assuredly even in demanding situations.
