We are looking to appoint a strong-charactered, dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded personality as: Director ofHuman Resources (m/f) 100%

Your role

You will lead the entire HR department of Hotel Astoria and be responsible for around 200 employees from hospitality, gastronomy and administration. You will work closely with the operation, advise the management and ensure that our personnel work is professional, efficient and legally compliant.

In particular, you will take on:

• Overall responsibility for the HR department and all HR processes
• Personnel planning, recruiting, support, development and departures
• Advice and support for management and supervisors in all personnel matters
• Independent monthly payroll processing including changes and payroll lists for the financial accounting
• Preparation of the personnel budget and monthly forecasts
• Ensuring compliance with Swiss labour law, social security law and the L-GAV
• Responsibility for all personnel administration
• Checking duty rosters for compliance with the L-GAV
• Coordination and control of annual leave planning
• Calculation of withholding tax
• Checking residence and work permits, including employees from third countries
• Maintenance and further development of our personnel regulations, job descriptions, house rules and internal HR guidelines
• Optimisation and digitalisation of processes within the HR area
• Building and maintaining a strong network with recruitment agencies, schools, authorities, GastroSocial and insurance companies

Your profile

You are an experienced HR professional and know the Swiss HR day-to-day business from practice. Payroll processing, labour law and complex personnel cases are not theoretical topics for you, but part of your previous responsibilities.

For this position we expect:

• Several years of experience in a comparable HR role, preferably in the Swiss hotel or gastronomy sector
• Sound knowledge of Swiss labour and social security law as well as the L-GAV
• Practical experience in independent payroll processing
• Confidence in dealing with withholding tax, social security and permits
• Experience in personnel planning, budgeting and recruiting
• Further training as an HR specialist with a federal certificate of competence is an advantage
• Training as a federal vocational trainer
• Experience with Mirus 3.0 is an advantage
• Very good German and English skills
• Assertiveness, tact and enjoyment of a lively operation
• A structured, precise and independent working style
• A natural and credible manner towards employees and managers
