About the job
RUBIROSA is a Swiss luxury footwear brand specializing in handcrafted sneakers for men and women, made in Italy. The timeless collections are distinguished by the unique combination of the highest-quality materials, refined textures, and exceptional craftsmanship, creating products of outstanding comfort and beauty.
Beyond its home market Switzerland, RUBIROSA is present across Europe as well as in the U.S., which represents the brand's main customer base.
About the job
As Product Management Trainee, you join our product team of four: two highly experienced designers lead design, a colleague on site in Italy is responsible for materials and product development, and you take charge of product management. Together, you bring each RUBIROSA collection from the first idea to the finished sneaker on the shelf.
You are the operational hub of the collection – from production planning and ordering to master data, logistics and the handover to sales and marketing. This is a one-year internship starting in January 2027, with the prospect of a permanent position. The monthly salary is CHF 2,500–3,000. Your workplace is our office in Gossau SG, with the option of working from home up to two days per week. Regular travel to our manufacturers and suppliers in Italy is an integral part of the role.
Your responsibilities
- Plan and steer the seasonal collection calendar as the link between design and product development, keeping specifications, quality and deadlines on track.
- Plan and manage seasonal production: purchase orders, provision of production materials, and monitoring of delivery dates and incoming goods from our manufacturers in Italy.
- Maintain product master data in our ERP and manage inventory together with our warehouse and logistics partners.
- Prepare collection overviews, line sheets and product information for sales, and support marketing with content for website, newsletter, campaigns and lookbooks.
- Analyze sell-in, sell-out and stock figures to inform assortment and production decisions.
What you can expect
- A small, highly experienced product team in which you take on real responsibility from day one and report directly to our CEO and founder.
- Close collaboration with design, product development, sales and marketing, as well as with our manufacturers in Italy.
- Insights into the full life cycle of a luxury sneaker – from material selection to market launch.
- A dynamic, fashion-driven international environment within one of the world's largest industries.
- The development of an international quiet luxury footwear brand with global growth ambitions.
- A working environment where learning feels effortless and where you can develop both professionally and personally.
What you bring
- You have successfully completed a bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration, fashion or product management, or a related field. First experience in product management, merchandising or the footwear industry is a plus – and we are equally open to more experienced profiles.
- You are highly organized and keep track of many details, deadlines and stakeholders at once.
- You are open-minded about AI and already have hands-on experience using AI tools to make workflows, analyses and content smarter. Combined with your analytical mindset and confident handling of Excel, this allows you to make well-founded decisions.
- You communicate fluently in German and English and already bring a working knowledge of Italian – fluency is not required, but a plus. You enjoy working across cultures and approach the Italian way of doing business with openness and curiosity – experience in an international or multicultural environment is an advantage.
- Your passion for refined textures and beautiful products allows you to authentically represent the brand – and as a sporty person, you share our ambition to bring fashion and sport together.
- You enjoy shaping the future in a dynamic environment with short decision-making processes and a highly skilled team.
