Role:

As a Microsoft Azure Platform Specialist (Senior), you are the technical authority for a business-critical Microsoft Azure platform. You define architectural principles and standards yourself and consistently implement them with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Your standards go beyond functioning systems. The platform should be scalable, secure, and economical. In complex disruptions, you keep a cool head and confidently lead the troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• You design highly available and secure Azure architectures for compute, storage, and central platform services and set binding standards for subscriptions and resource groups.

• You develop identity and access concepts with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and app registrations with technical precision.

• You build standardised automation processes with Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell, bringing speed and quality to every deployment.

• Additionally, you are responsible for complex network architectures with virtual networks, DNS, and firewalling.

• You define logging concepts with Log Analytics as well as backup and recovery architectures for business-critical systems.

• You also drive proof of concepts forward and optimise the cloud landscape specifically regarding automation and costs.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering in the Microsoft environment.

• You master the architecture and operation of large Azure environments at an expert level, including landing zones and cloud governance.

• You write clean PowerShell code and work confidently with Bicep or Terraform.

• Routing, peering, private endpoints, and VPN solutions are familiar territory for you.

• Furthermore, you are familiar with observability using Azure Monitor as well as high availability and disaster recovery concepts from practice.

• You also understand hybrid environments with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 and make architectural decisions with a view to the overall system.
